News of this price increase comes when UK television, telephone and broadband operators are being hit by new strict rules that should prevent customers from overpaying.

From now on, all ISPs (Internet Service Providers), including BT, Sky, Virgin Media and TalkTalk, will have to contact customers to let them know when the current deal is coming to an end.
