Two women whom police describe as suspects in a porch piracy case are seen in surveillance videos with scrubs and what appears to be a string with an identification tag. Gloves are worn when taking a package from the porch to a home.
"The nurses we are fortunate to know only give time, life and take the lives of patients (not their property)," police posted on Facebook.
A package that was stolen Wednesday was taken from the home of an actual nurse and a police officer.
"We have a home security system, so I pulled up the videos," Michelle Santiago, who was working at the time of delivery, told CNN.
"I could see the FedEx driver dropping the package off at 3pm that afternoon in a video and in (a subsequent) video this woman walks up and takes it less than 5 minutes later," Santiago said.
Inside the package sat a custom organizer for her husband's police equipment. Santiago shared the video with his neighborhood group and found other cases of this happening.
"Even if we had been home, I don't know if I would get out there fast enough to pick up the package," Santiago said. "She literally took the package minutes after it was dropped."
