Updates On Three-Storey Constructing That Collapsed In Ibadan

Many individuals had been trapped whereas a number of others injured when a three-storey constructing collapsed at Shogoye bus cease, Bode neighborhood in Ibadan, Oyo State on Friday night.

A witness advised reporters that the constructing was below development when the incident occurred at about 5:45pm when bricklayers and different artisans within the website had been rounding off for the day.

One of many survivors, Toheeb Gbadamosi, 19, stated: “Today is my first time of working at this place. I just came around in order to raise some money for my upkeep because things were difficult. I thank God that I came out of the rubble alive”.

Others who had been rescued from the wreckage had been 42-year-old Olalekan Dauda; Tunde and Rilwan Oladepo.

Dauda stated he was working with different artisans on the third flooring when the constructing collapsed. He stated he simply heard a sudden blast and later discovered that he and others within the constructing had been trapped within the rubble.

Based on one of many rescuers who gave his title as Alfa Mojeed Agbaje, two of his family members (Tunde and Oladepo) had been concerned within the collapse.

Agbaje stated: “I am worried because other people that I know are presently in the wreckage. Tunde sustained injuries on his face and limbs. We have taken him to Molete Hospital and he is recuperating”.

Crowd of sympathisers, comprising merchants and residents of the world, besieged the scene with the highway blocked.
