As we continue to plead with our divine creator to have mercy on humanity and heal our land, we Christians must never forget where we are; which is the absolute and unshakable faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, in whom we place all our trust to see us through this pandemic with great joy and celebration.
This faith does not respond to scientific or government regulations. The fact that houses of worship are restricted has opened up many unregulated houses of worship in people's homes, where they exercise their faith in our Lord Jesus Christ to the fullness of joy and perfection, without the need for face masks, social distance and restriction of friends. . greeting / hugging your fellow worshiper.
In our various homes today, many practice with joy and perfection the faith that Jesus Christ expects his true followers to worship him in his presence. It is therefore worrying that some Christian leaders are busy negotiating how to partially reopen places of worship under strict regulatory guidelines set by the government.
The idea that our services can now be divided into several fragmented sessions with worshipers possibly required to wear face masks and / or gloves to attend services and friendly greetings among their brothers in Christ in the house of the Lord can be classified as a formal government offense does NOT just deny the faith in which the church is established, it is also exporting to the congregation of believers the fear and anxiety associated with people who do not have an omnipotent God who is able to protect their children.
This generation of Christian leaders must preserve the sanctity of the house of God as a place of refuge and security for all those who are able and willing to find it.
People who seek to be saved by Christ Jesus, when they enter the house of God and still see fear and anxiety through people wearing masks that worship their God, who claim to have all the powers in heaven and on earth to prevent and heal their children from any person. pandemic / plague, will return home with the mentality that the lives of those in the Lord's presence is no different than theirs and that the message of salvation can never convince these souls.
Where is the line of distinction between believers and unbelievers if we succumb to the fear of the coronavirus in the presence of our Lord and Savior?
If we allow this fear to extend to the house of God, it means that we surrender the body of Christ entrusted to our care to be under the control of the principalities of fear, distrust and anxiety, which are proxies to the kingdom of Satan.
As church leaders, let us appeal to our governments that our Lord Jesus Christ is more than capable of taking full responsibility for the health and public safety of our congregations by reopening without restriction to the expression of faith and joy that people are used to showing in the presence of the your Almighty Lord. Jesus is still actively in the business of healing and saving all those who are able to sincerely meet him through the Holy Spirit, and the house of the Lord remains the melting point for this spiritual and faith-guided transactional process. Our goal should be to worship God together as a family in justice, peace and joy.
If the government insists that a complete reopening is not possible, let all congregational leaders continue to encourage their members to worship Almighty God with full expression of their joy and faith in Christ Jesus, without any fear or anxiety from the comfort of their homes. We must always believe in our hearts that the holy spirit unites us all at once, regardless of our physical location, while we continue to pray that the government has a total resolution of the COVID-19 pandemic in each area, so that we can all you can be sure that you continue to worship Almighty God in an atmosphere devoid of the fear, distrust and anxiety that COVID-19 has imposed on societies and communities around the world.
The atmosphere in the church of Jesus Christ must be defended with our collective faith and sacrifice.
May the Church be in no hurry to accept an arrangement that promotes fear, distrust and anxiety among the faithful in exchange for a spiritless reopening. Either way, God is not glorified and the kingdom of heaven is not benefiting.
The grace of Jesus Christ is still in abundance in the body of Christ and it is time for us Christians to exercise that faith in order to unblock its divine manifestations.
