This 50-inch, 299-pound 4K Smart TV comes with free movies

We are all going to spend a little more time indoors at the moment. If you have one incredibly long list of programs and movies to be based on, you may be thinking about updating your television. Thank you, Argos has great success in a 50 inch Smart TV this could just be the ticket.

Built by the Chinese brand Hisense, this 50-inch 4K TV is powered by Roku software. That means you'll be able to run all the same apps from Roku's extremely popular streaming dongles, including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All4, Disney +, NOW TV and Apple TV +, to name a little.

It also means that you will have access to , which is completely free to watch. You can start broadcasting blockbusters and Hollywood television series without paying a dime. Better yet, Roku won't even force you to sign up for an account to access the hours of entertainment available on the Roku channel.

At launch, the Roku Channel includes more than 10,000 free films, documentaries and television episodes. Movies will be available for a limited time, with Roku updating the selection regularly. TV shows will be available longer than films – to give viewers a chance to watch all episodes before the title leaves the service.

The 50-inch Roku Smart TV also supports High Dynamic Range (HDR), , which can display a much higher contrast level between the light and dark areas of the screen – so you don't miss any detail in a movie scene when someone is in a dark room, looking out of a small window at the sunlight outdoors .

Currently, Hisense's 50-inch Roku Smart LED TV for sale for £ 299 from Argos the lowest price already fell for. Obviously, as this HDR-compatible television is exclusive to Argos, there is no chance that another retailer will force them into a price war any time soon, but that remains an aggressively low price for such a large and feature-rich TV.

Argos is currently offering customers the option to click and collect from local Sainsbury stores, which remain open despite current blocking restrictions. Obviously, there are also delivery options available.
