The case of Benue's COVID-19 index finally rose after 58 days, defined by an engaging controversy

The Benue State COVID-19 index caseSusan Idoko Okpe was discharged.

Okpe, who spent 58 days in the isolation center, was discharged on Wednesday.


Patient COVID-19 was involved in a bitter fight with the Benue State government, the Federal Government and the Nigeria Disease Control Center (NCDC) shortly after the positive test for the virus.

After the woman was transferred from Makurdi to Abuja, the COVID-19 case threatened the NCDC with legal action if she were not released within seven days of the isolation center in the country's capital.

Okpe's daughter confirmed her mother's release from isolation center in a post on social media.

According to her, she was released from the treatment center on Wednesday night.
