Moses Simon scored a late goal, but it was not enough, as Lyon held Nantes 4-3 and knocked them out in the 32nd round of the French Cup on Saturday, Completesports.com reports.
Simon scored Nantes' third goal with four minutes remaining in the game.
It was his first goal since scoring three goals in an 8-0 win over Paris FC in the French League Cup on October 30, 2019.
He has scored six goals in all Nantes competitions this season.
In the South African Premier League of Football (PSL), Daniel Akpeyi helped the Kaiser Chiefs maintain their unbeaten record after a 1-1 draw with Black Leopards.
The game was Akpeyi's 15th appearance for Kaiser Chiefs on PSL so far this season.
He kept sheets clean for the last two Kaiser Chiefs games before being violated by the Black Leopards.
The draw saw Kaiser Chiefs now unbeaten in three consecutive PSL games, two wins and a draw.
However, they still occupy first place with 42 points, 10 points ahead of second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns, who will be in SuperSport on Sunday.
And in Serie A, Ola Aina ended up on the losing side, with Torino being defeated 2-1 at Sassuolo.
The game was Aina's 17th showing in Serie A in Torino in the current campaign.
Entering Saturday's game against Sassuolo, Torino won their last three games in a row.
