The president, FCT chapter of the Association of Licensed Private Security Professionals of Nigeria (ALPSPN), retired police commissioner, lawyer Lawrence Alobi, made the call while donating masks to the command of the FCT police, the State Security Services and of Nigeria's Security and Safety. Alobi said the gesture is part of ALPSPN's corporate social responsibility in supporting security agencies, especially now that they are taking on a new role in preventing the spread of COVID-19. He noted that while everyone is required to wear a face mask as part of measures to check the spread of COVID-19, those who apply measures to check the spread must also be protected.
FCT police commissioner, Bala Ciroma; FCT State Security Services director Ado Muazu and the commander of Nigeria's Civil Security and Civil Defense Corps Patrick Ukpan, who received separately 250 sets of face masks each, praised the ALPSPN for the gesture, saying the items they were at the right time.
