Now New Ireland manager Stephen Kenny appears to be on Slovakia's side for a Euro 2020 play-off semifinal in October instead of November, as originally thought.

After a conference call with UEFA, FAI acting CEO Gary Owens told FAI TV that Kenny's team could have up to five games played before the trip to Bratislava, with the UEFA Nations League games scheduled to happen as planned in September.

In the FAI TV interview, Mr. Owens stated: “There has been a small change in this. We originally thought it could be November, but now it looks like the semi-final is the preferred option in October.

"They don't want to have the semi-final and the play-offs final in a month. It looks like the League of Nations games will be in September and October, with the semi-finals play-off in October and the play-offs. final in November. ”
