Reality TV show Ultimate Love to end a week earlier than scheduled due to fears over the spread of coronavirus

Broadcast on Multiple choiceIS DSTV and GOtv, a first edition of Ultimate Love which started on Sunday, February 9 and was supposed to last eight weeks, was interrupted for a week.

Organizers in their announcement on Tuesday, March 24, said the show was stopped due to concerns about the spread of the coronavirus in Nigeria.

"While we know that the program has attracted fans and viewers across Africa, it has become pertinent to join the ongoing efforts of the government and global public health authorities to smooth the curve against the coronavirus,”Part of the ad said.

The final vote will be open from Wednesday, March 25 and will end on Friday, March 27.

Unconscious loving guests

Since it appeared in Wuhan, China, the whole world has had to deal with the spread of the coronavirus.

Nigeria's index case was confirmed in late February and more than 40 cases have since been confirmed.

The rest of the love guests, as the Ultimate Love contestants are called, are still unaware of what's going on in the outside world.

A source from MultiChoice had said Pulse that the organizers would meet to decide on the next course of action, which would cut the show in a week.
