Osun state police on Monday appointed three men to the Osogbo magistrate
Court for alleged aggression and violation of public peace.
The men – Aribi Fatai, Akin Olumide and Olabisi Afolabi – were denounced on three counts of conspiracy, violation of public peace and aggression.
The prosecutor, Abiodun Fagboyinbo, told the Court that the defendants committed the crime on April 30, around 4 pm in the Okog area of Osogbo.
Fagboyinbo said the trio conspired with each other and assaulted an Ademola Saheed and caused serious injuries to the head and other parts of the body.
He said the situation led to a violation of public peace before police intervention.
The prosecutor said the crimes violated Sections 516, 335 and 249 (d) of the Osun Penal Code Laws, 2002.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The defense lawyer, Mr. Adesoye Oluwole, prayed to the court to grant his clients bail in the most liberal terms.
The magistrate, Ms. Aishat Oloyade, granted the defendants a bail of N50,000 each with a guarantee each in equal amount.
She said that the bail bonds should reside in the court's jurisdiction, show evidence of fee paymentand submit three passport photographs, each with a statement of means.
