Plateau United returned to the top table of the Professional Football League of Nigeria (NPFL) after beating Adamawa United 5-0 on Sunday.

Club Jos had lost first place this season for the first time just two weeks ago, when Lobi Stars took advantage of their slides to stay on top for two weeks.

The game played at the New Jos Stadium saw Ibrahim Mustapha draw, while Oche Ochowechi, Uche Onwuasoanya and Abba Umar scored the other goals for the hosts.

The former champions are now at the top of the table with 28 points from 16 games, with a goal difference greater than second-placed Lobi Stars, who also have 28 points.
