‘Penalise returnees for refusing test at point of entry’

A legislator representing the Oshodi / Isolo 1 federal electoral district of Lagos state, Bashorun Dawodu, advised the federal government to step up efforts to track down those who might have entered the country without undergoing medical examinations.

He said that, if possible, these people should be penalized for putting other people's lives at risk by failing to undergo medical examinations and possible isolation as part of efforts to stem the spread of Covid 19.

The legislator, who is a member of the Chamber's Health Services Committee, said The nation that the country must implement measures to combat emergency situations by reserving a special fund for this and providing medical assistance.
