PDP governors respond to Yahaya Bello's claims of failure

The chairman of the People's Democratic Party Governors Forum Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, described the claim by Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello that 10 PDP governors are on their way to the All Progressive Congress (APC) as false, adding that they are not PDP governor is planning to defect to APC.

Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, appearing on a TV show on Friday night, claimed that about 10 PDP governors were ready to join APC.

In a statement signed by the Director General of the PDP Governors Forum, CI D Maduabum, Governor Tambuwal said that Bello's statement "does not deserve an answer, but because it can demoralize PDP members and Nigerians who are unaware of the facts".

The Sokoto state governor further stated that “it is obvious that this is a diversified tactic to sustain the low morale of APC members who are ruining the loss of yet another state governor, Godwin Obaseki from the State of Edo to the PDP, as a result of the chaos and anarchy currently existing in the APC, after the mismanagement of its business, as recognized even by Mr. President Muhammadu Buhari ”.

According to Tambuwal, “PDP governors are very focused on offering good governance and the benefits of democracy to their respective states and working tirelessly to strengthen and reposition the party.

“There is no attraction for any PDP member not to mention a PDP governor to join the APC, a party plagued by crises, without even an elected leadership, as provided for in Section 223 of the 1999 Constitution, which specifically requires the Committee Executive of all members. political party in Nigeria is elected democratically ”.

The chairman of the PDP Governors' Forum advised Governor Bello to focus on providing good governance to the people of the Kogi State rather than getting involved in lies.
