Patrick Mahomes contract: Chiefs reportedly sign QB to 10-year extension, the ‘richest’ in NFL history

There is no quarterback like Patrick Mahomes, now there is no contract like his.

The Kansas City quarterback, fresh out of a miraculous Super Bowl race and a year away from the league's MVP winner, agreed to a 10-year contract extension with Kansas City. The deal was first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Specific terms of the deal have not been released, but it is the "richest contract in NFL history," according to Schefter, and is expected to be linked to the salary cap. Reports are saying that the deal may be north of the $ 400 million mark.

When the duration of the agreement is finalized and official, Mahomes will be in the Chiefs' uniform for the next 12 years.
