Creueta del Coll Park
Found in the wonderful neighborhood of Gràcia, we find the Parque Creueta del Coll and its large swimming pool. Opened in 1976, the site was originally a quarry that was to be turned into an apartment. However, at the last minute, plans were changed to build a public park. Now is the place to relax in the sun, enjoying the calm vibe and other activities available here. There are ping pong tables and playgrounds for children to enjoy. Most importantly, with a shallow pool, which sees young and old enjoying the water in the heat of cooking. This outdoor pool in Barcelona is the perfect place to socialize with the locals and meet new friends on your Barcelona vacation. Another thing to note in this park is the large concrete sculpture that is the focal point of the space. Designed by Eduardo Chillida, this is one of the most recognized parks in the city. So come here and enjoy your outdoor pool in Barcelona here, at Creueta del Coll – have a picnic for the ideal day!

Forum bathing area – Parc del Fòrum
Another outdoor pool for you to explore in Barcelona is the Parc del Fòrum bathing area, which is the ideal place to escape the heat of Barcelona in a more relaxed area than on one of the beaches. It is important to note that, instead of fresh water, the pool here uses water from the Mediterranean Sea, providing a feeling of the sea without the hassle of the beach! This is easily one of the most elegant bathing areas in the city, being initially built for the Universal Forum of Cultures, now it is enjoyed for free by everyone! Like all pools here, there are lifeguards and public equipment for use, as well as wheelchairs for amphibians to help people with reduced mobility. There is also a mechanized tow rope in one of the sections, giving you the chance to try your surfing skills before reaching the sea!

Center Esportiu Municipal Montjuïc Salt Pool (CEM) – Montjuïc
Be it the first time in Barcelona or the hundredth trip to the Catalan capital, you have probably heard of Montjuïc's magic and fantasy. With museums, fountain light shows and more, Montjuïc is believed to be the most diverse attraction in Barcelona, where residents and tourists come together with admiration for the architecture and activities shown here. What is not generally known is that this popular area also houses one of the best outdoor swimming pools in Barcelona, known as Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc.
Opened in 1929, the Montjuïc swimming pool has been renovated several times in order to host various water sports competitions and adapt to the times. The pool will be recognized by anyone who participated in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, but you do not need to be an athlete or gold medalist to enjoy this pool, as it is open to the public during the summer months. Once here, you can soak up the Barcelona sunshine by the pool and, if you’re feeling brave, feel the adrenaline rush in a high jump or go for laps in the Olympic pool.
