The protesters' requests were based on the payment of their 30 months in arrears of half a salary (2016 to date), payment of bonuses (2015 to date) and payment of their monthly pensions from 2015 to date.

The suffering protesters were welcomed by Laadin, from Ife, High Chief Kayode Awofiranye.

“It is so bad to know that you are going through a lot of difficulties as a result of not paying your rights, Kabiyesi is aware of your presence here and I want to guarantee that the necessary actions will be taken to make the immediate payment of your legitimate money. "

Comrade Niyi Adefare, who had already addressed the high chief on behalf of his colleagues, urged Ooni to help the helpless elderly to obtain their rights.

Adefare regretted that the members are elderly, some of them are dealing with one illness or another, but were unable to purchase drugs and other essentials because our money was not paid by the state government.
