Ogun will revive the Olokola project

Ogun State has initiated arrangements to revive the abandoned Olokola seaport project as part of measures to improve transport.

Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele led a delegation to visit the office of the Administrative Director of the Nigeria Port Authority (NPA), Hadiza Bala Usman, in Marina, Lagos.

She noted that the visit was important to seek advice and ensure synergy between the government and the NPA.

“The seaport of Olokola is fantastic for Nigeria, even for our state, which is why we are interested in attracting investors to this project, so that they see how we can resuscitate it in the face of development on the Lagos coast. . . We will also see how to work and on what scale we can reintroduce the project as it was in early 2000, when it was first planned. "
