Ogun College is closed after health worker dies of COVID-19

The Administration of the Federal Faculty of Education of Osiele, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Friday closed the institution for two weeks after a health worker died of complications from COVID-19 at the institution.

The institution's secretary, Adedayo Adebayo, who disclosed this in a statement in the Abeokuta, two other employees at the college's medical center also contracted the virus.

He said the findings revealed that the health worker died of complications from COVID-19.

The secretary said: “Unfortunately, the other two medical center employees also tested positive for the virus and were placed on isolation and under treatment.

"Arising from this unfavorable development, it is up to the college administration to immediately close the college, in order to prevent the spread of the virus."
