Obafemi Scores Late As Southampton Hold Man United

Odion Ighalo was an unused substitute, as a goal by Michael Obafemi saw Southampton tie Manchester United with a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford in Monday night's Premier League game, Completesports.com reports.

United entered the game needing a win to move up to third place and beat Chelsea, who lost 3-0 at Sheffield United over the weekend.

But it was Southampton who took the lead on 12 minutes through Stuart Armstrong, who fired at the team from the back post.

At 20 minutes, United drew with Marcus Rashford with the first foot in the bottom corner.

Just three minutes later, United won 2-1 when Anthony Martial scored a brilliant solo goal against Alex McCarthy.

But in the 96th minute, Obafemi, who entered in the 86th minute, turned on the corner of James Ward-Prowse to secure a point for the Saints.

The result means that United remain in fifth place with 59 points and Chelsea are third with 60 points on the leaderboard, with three games remaining.
