Niger State records third COVID-19 confirmed case

The State of Niger registered the third confirmed case of COVID-19 from a driver passing from Minna to Kano, which was released by Dr. Muhammad Makusidi hospital services on Friday.

According to Makusidi, the driver was arrested for violating the movement restriction order and was quarantined.


The Commissioner said his sample was taken to Abuja for testing and returned positive, adding that the patient would be transferred immediately to the isolation center at Minna General Hospital for treatment.

The Commissioner noted that the patient had no contact in the state, as he was just passing through to his destination in the state of Kano.
