NHL Player Gaming Challenge: Schedule, entry list, how to watch ‘NHL 20’ competition


The NHL joined other professional sports in forming a video game tournament involving its athletes. From April 30, the league will begin the inauguration Game challenge for NHL players with one or two players per team competing for the title.

Each team, and the future NHL team in Seattle, will play a single match against another club in a three-game "NHL 20" series, as all matches will be played on PlayStation 4.

Electronic Arts (EA) and the NHL Foundation are donating a total of $ 100,000 in support of the CDC Foundation's COVID-19 relief efforts. The event is part of the NHL's #HockeyAtHome initiative, designed to remind fans to stay safe, stay home and play together.

NHL Player Gaming Challenge Schedule

  • Meeting: Starts April 30 and lasts four weeks

  • Live broadcast (USA): NBCSports.com and NBC Sports app
  • Live broadcast (Canada): Sportsnet.ca and Sportsnet NOW

The NBC Sports Network and Sportsnet One will screen selected matches throughout the tournament, with NBCSN broadcasting the two matches on April 30, starting at 5 pm. ET. All games will be broadcast on NHL & # 39; s Muscular contraction, Youtube, Twitter and Facebook accounts as well as in NHL.com.
