Liverpool celebrated with striker Taiwo Awoniyi, Mainz striker in the 2-2 draw with FC Cologne on Sunday, when the Bundesliga was suspended again due to a coronavirus outbreak, Completesports.com reports.

Also in action was Super Eagles guest Kingsley Ehizibue, who came to Cologne.
Commenting on Awoniyi's goal, the Reds wrote on their official website: “Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi was in the sights of the loan club FSV Mainz 05, as he came from two goals ago and drew with Cologne on Sunday.
“Awoniyi left the bench in the 56th minute and needed just five minutes to open his Bundesliga account and start a comeback for his team.
"The 22-year-old found space in the area to score a low cross from the right, while Mainz struggled to secure a 2-2 result that earned him a valuable point near the bottom of the table."
Premier League leaders also commented on two other players on loan, Nat Phillips and Marko Grujic.
“Reds defender Nat Phillips played just under an hour when VfB Stuttgart resumed their 2. Bundesliga with a 2-1 defeat at Wehen Wiesbaden.
"The German divisions started again this weekend after the suspension of football due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with Marko Grujic involved in Hertha BSC's victory on Saturday."
