Apple New iOS 14 was released at the end of last month and it’s certainly a very exciting update from the US tech company. This major software update includes several changes, the most dramatic of which is the option to finally add Android-style widgets to your home screen,
These small squares of information can be altered to show anything, such as weather, music or the latest news. You can even add multiple widgets, making the screen much more useful.
Other changes include enhanced messages, more Memoji characters and picture-in-picture video so you can browse the web while watching YouTube.
IOS 14 is still a few months away from an official release, but if you can't wait to wait that long, there's a simple way to try out all the cool new features before almost everyone.
Apple has now launched its public beta program, which means that you can download the new version of iOS long before it is sent to millions of iPhone owners worldwide.
"Help make the next releases of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS our best yet. As a member of the Apple Beta Software Program, you can participate in modeling Apple software by testing pre-release versions and letting us know. what do you think." Apple confirmed on its website.
Before you get too excited about showing your friends a new look for your iPhone, there are a few things to keep in mind about the public beta. Most importantly, this is by no means a finished software.
In fact, this is Apple's goal to make it available earlier, as it means that you will be tasked with reporting bugs, incompatibilities, or flaws found in the previous software.
This gives the U.S. company enough time to solve problems before millions of people try to download it on launch day.
Because it is not the final version, Apple recommends that users do not download the iOS 14 beta on their primary smartphone. Instead, to avoid nightmares when you really need to use your smartphone, the software must be installed on a secondary iPhone.

Here are some of the news from iOS 14
Perhaps the most exciting thing is the introduction of widgets. Yes, soon you will be able to transform your home screen with everything from widgets and weather emails to levels of activity and music. You can change these information-filled squares to any size and add as many as you like.
And that's not the only change, as Apple is also adding something called the App Library, which allows you to hide those endless apps that fill your phone without actually deleting them.
Other updates include a better way to send messages to your friends with group chats, now easier to organize, as well as some new and fun ways to enhance your Memoji characters with hairstyles, head accessories and additional accessories. IOS 14 also brings picture-in-picture video to the iPhone for the first time. Thus, you can continue watching football while surfing the web or chatting with friends on WhatsApp.
Finally, Apple changed the way some applications work on the iPhone. Instead of downloading a dedicated app for each take-away order or movie ticket purchase, Apple now allows you to access the most important part of the app directly from the home screen. So-called app clips, this addition will make interacting with a range of products and services much faster and means that your iPhone will not be full of apps that you only used once.
