There are some huge changes coming to your iPhone later this year with Apple just announcing your new iOS 14 operating system. This highly successful update will be released in the fall, but if you can't wait to wait that long, there is a simple way to try out all the cool new features before almost everyone else.
Apple always launches its public beta program in the months before the big launch, and iOS 14 will be no different. This means that, in the coming weeks, you will be able to download the new version of iOS long before it is sent to millions of iPhone owners worldwide.
Although the public beta is not yet available, Apple has launched a dedicated web page, which offers the ability to subscribe to news of this release.
"New public betas for iOS 14, iPadOS 14, macOS Big Sur, tvOS 14 and watchOS 7 are coming soon. As a member of the Apple Beta Software Program, you can help shape Apple software by testing pre-release versions and allowing us to we know what you think. If you're not yet a member, sign up today, "says Apple on its website.
But wait! Before I get too excited, there are a few things to remember about the public beta. First of all, this is not finished software.

In fact, this is Apple's goal to make it available earlier, as it means that you will be in charge of reporting any bugs, incompatibilities or flaws found in the previous software. This gives Apple time to resolve issues before the big release date.
Because it is not the final version, Apple recommends that users do not download iOS 14 beta on their primary smartphone. Instead, to avoid nightmares when you really need to use your smartphone, the software must be installed on a secondary iPhone.
If you want to continue, it means that you will start playing with some great new features months in advance and those who signed up to receive alerts about the public beta will be the first to hear the news of the version.
Here's what's new in iOS 14
Perhaps the most exciting thing is the introduction of widgets. Yes, soon you will be able to transform your home screen with everything from weather widgets and emails to levels of activity and music. You can change these information-filled squares to any size and add as many as you like.
And that's not the only change, as Apple is also adding something called the App Library, which lets you hide those endless apps that fill your phone without actually deleting them.
Other updates include a better way to send messages to your friends with group chats, now easier to organize, as well as some new and fun ways to enhance your Memoji characters with additional hairstyles, accessories and accessories. IOS 14 also brings picture-in-picture video to the iPhone for the first time. Thus, you can continue watching football, while surfing the web or chatting with friends on WhatsApp.
Finally, Apple changed the way some applications work on the iPhone. Instead of downloading a dedicated app for each take-away order or movie ticket purchase, Apple now allows you to access the most important part of the app directly from the home screen. So-called app clips, this addition will make interacting with a range of products and services much faster and means that your iPhone will not be full of apps that you only used once.
