The week that was and what's to come

One thing to know that happened last week: Dan Straily, one of the most recognizable names for American fans, had one of the best rides of week 1, playing seven entries with 11 strikeouts, no walks and three hits allowed in Lotte's 4-0 win over SK on Sunday. Straily, an eight-year-old MLB traveler, appeared in 14 games for the Baltimore Orioles in 2019.

One thing to watch this week: Are the Lotte Giants for real? They will do an important test when they face Doosan Bears, the champion of the Korean Series, in a series of three games starting on Tuesday.

Viral moment of the week: KBO Beginner Dixon Machado, who played 172 games with Detroit Tigers from 2015 to 18, it created a lot of excitement for the unbeaten Lotte Giants, as you can see in the announcer's call on his third home run of the young season:

Bat flip of the week: We cannot have a KBO Weekly without at least one bat stroke.

Most impressive statistic of the week: The Dinos led the LG Twins 6-0 after a Sunday of entry, but ended up losing 10-10. For comparison, MLB teams with an advantage of six or more runs after an entry are 113-1 since 2010. E at KBO, that wasn't the biggest return of the day! Doosan maintained the 10-3 lead over Wiz after five starts, only to see KT score twice in the ninth to draw 11-11. Wiz moved up 12-11 in the 10th round, but failed to close the deal. The bears really pulled a Jae Il Oh location at the end of the 10th and won on the 11th at a Wiz error.
