The KADUNA state government has readjusted the two-day window on the movement restriction order. This allows residents to buy food and other essential items at the markets.
A statement by the managing director of Kaduna Markets Development and Management Company (KMDMC), Muhammad Hafiz Bayero, on Sunday said that Wednesdays and Thursdays are now the two-day window in which the restriction of movement will be relaxed.
Residents will be free to visit their neighborhood markets on May 20-21, 2020 to buy food and other essentials. This adjustment means that no market will open next Saturday & # 39; & # 39; he clarified.
Beyero emphasized that temporary neighborhood markets should operate from 10 am to 4 pm on the two days when the movement restriction is relaxed.
He called for compliance with established guidelines and other conditions, including the need to wear face masks and undergo temperature checks before entering the market, adding that physical distance and other public health protocols must be respected.
