American singer John Legend called President Donald Trump an idiot in a recent online interview with Britain's GQ Hype.
He spoke while answering a question about his thoughts on Trump's agenda and violent rhetoric, such as his suggestion that patients with COVID-19 may inject their lungs with disinfectant.
Responding to the latest issue of the British GQ Hype, the 41-year-old singer said, "It's so ridiculous. It's almost like you don't believe it's true that we elected this idiot to be the president of the United States. The things he says are ridiculously idiots and ridiculously selfish and narcissistic at the same time.
“He says a lot of ridiculous home remedies for happy conversation that people shouldn't be taking and he thinks it's brilliant because he has a relative who is a doctor. And then you combine that with the fact that he doesn't listen to scientists and makes all the decisions about how it will benefit him personally.
"He's also a short-term thinker, so he doesn't think much about how to deal with big, complex problems that require long-term planning and vision. He's just the opposite of what we need now.
Legend has it that the pandemic will last much longer in the United States because of the president's "incompetence" and lack of long-term thinking.
“It couldn't be a worse person to be in charge now than he is and that’s what America’s stuck with and that’s why we have the highest death rate in the world from this disease and I don’t believe we’re going to be out of danger for a time, because of their incompetence, selfishness, myopia and inability to coordinate a real national response, ”he said.
The singer also said that he and his family "adjusted" to the blocking measures very well and are lucky to be in a privileged position.
"I feel that we have adapted very well. We are lucky, of course. We have the resources to handle everything we need, in a very painless way.
“We have our family unit and we love our children and we love to go out with them. And they love being home with us 24/7. We are making the most of a wild situation ".
