Some unexpected news is coming out of Italy. Inter Milan, which has been associated with many players in recent months, is now being associated with a switch to a Gent striker. According to Calciomercato, Inter are considering signing Jonathan David. The Canadian international has had an immense season in Belgium, where the campaign has been interrupted and potentially concluded, as Belgian football authorities are still trying to decide whether the league will continue amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Whatever the case and whatever they choose, it will be obvious that probably the best player in the Belgian league in Jupiler was David. He attracted the attention of clubs across Europe, scoring 23 goals and adding 10 assists for Gent this season.
Now, David wants to test himself in a bigger and better league, but Gent will try to test interested clubs, including Inter, asking for around € 25 million for the 20-year-old.
