It is one of InstagramThe most requested features and now a new leak suggests that the chronological feed could finally be returning – well, almost.
Jane Manchun Wong, a respectable Hong Kong hitter, revealed that Instagram is working on a new feature called "Latest Posts".
She tweeted a screenshot of the feature, writing, "Instagram is working on the & # 39; latest posts' feed to update the feed posts
“It looks like the chronological feed that people are asking for. Similar, but not the same.
The feature seems to offer users the opportunity to follow the most recent photos when they first open the app, although the main feed itself remains non-chronological.
Instagram caused a huge controversy in 2016, after changing its news feed chronologically to a more personalized feed.
At that time, Instagram claimed that the change would improve the user experience.
In a blog, he explained: "The order of the photos and videos in your feed will be based on the likelihood that you are interested in the content, your relationship with the person who is posting and the timeliness of the post."
While that was four years ago, many users are still asking Instagram to change the feed to chronological order.
Speaking at the end of last year, Instagram insisted that the chronological feed would not return, but the new feature suggests a happy medium.
When posting to his Instagram Creator account, Instagram explained: “Since switching to a classified feed, the average post is now seen by 50% more followers than in the chronological model.”
It is not yet clear when, or if, Instagram plans to roll over to the Latest Posts feature.
