The Buhari Media Organization, BMO, has ordered the Leadership of the Democratic Peoples Party, PDP, to apologize to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, the Supreme Court and Nigerians in general, for their behavior in the aftermath of the government elections. of the state of Imo petition.
The BMO described the PDP's reaction to the Supreme Court judgment as irresponsible, adding that the allegations made against jurists in the course of the recent protest to the Supreme Court, after having declared Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as elected duly elected Governor of the State, they were childish and childish.
In a statement by its president, Niyi Akinsiju, and secretary Cassidy Madueke, the group said the protest was an insult to the Nigerian judiciary and showed the PDP's contempt for the country's institutions.
"Holding a protest to denounce the Supreme Court's verdict and still making unfounded allegations of irregularities against the country's Apex Court judges is offensive to the country and the democratic principles that the country operates.
“The protests and comments made by the PDP were also totally reprehensible. For people who have had the privilege of managing the nation's affairs for 16 years, albeit in the worst way, and their democratic institutions, the least expected of them is respect for these institutions.
"The most surprising thing is that the so-called opposition figures demanded that the Supreme Court reveal itself, in addition to demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Tanko Muhammed," he added.
The BMO noted that PDP leaders acted like spoiled brats, who didn't know how to react to the loss.
“The PDP is led by crying babies, spoiled with unpunished bad behavior, hence their irresponsible and ridiculous protest against the Supreme Court. Whenever the party gains a victory from that same Supreme Court, the PDP praises the Judiciary, but whenever the same court passes a sentence that does not favor the opposition, these people cry like spoiled brats.
“Just a few months ago, the same Supreme Court ruled against the All Progressives Congress (APC) and favored the PDP in the states of Zamfara and Rivers. The Apex Court was praised and acclaimed by the PDP. Likewise, in the court's trials on the most recent issues of the electoral petition, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the PDP in the Bauchi, Sokoto, Adamawa and Benue States. For the PDP, this is justice, because it favored them. This is the height of irresponsibility.
“For these spoiled brats, whenever the Supreme Court does not go its way, the court has no integrity, but when it does, it is in fact a court of justice. They are not ashamed. The PDP is simply afraid of the verdict that the court would give in the coming days of sentences, which are less likely to favor it. "
The BMO expressed hope that PDP leaders would act as responsible politicians and stop overreacting when court decisions do not follow their party's path.
