It will soon be possible to make group calls in the Google Duo video calling application. Google is also launching a new layout that will allow users to see more people at the same time during video calls.

Users will be able to invite anyone with a Google Account to join a group call with just one link. Soon, familiar way will also be introduced in Google Duo. This feature allows users to scribble on video calls and add Augmented Reality (AR) effects to their calls.

To use family mode, you need to click on the menu icon and touch Family to get started. The mute and hang up buttons will now be hidden so that calls are not interrupted. These calls, like all other calls from Google, will be encrypted end to end.

Masks and effects will also be available on individual calls. Google is launching more effects and masks to help you express yourself more effectively.

Last month, the company announced that it would introduce some new features to the Google Duo. A new video codec technology is being developed to offer quality video calls, even when the Internet connection is weak.

Users can take photos while chatting with family and friends on the video call. This feature also exists for personal video calls.

In March, Google Duo increased the group size for calls from eight to 12. The company is working to further increase the number of users on video calls.
