Social media giant Facebook launched a redesigned version of its desktop site. The new features in facebook.com will be released to all users in the coming weeks.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg had announced at last year's F8 developer conference that the company would present a website with a new, optimized design.
Facebook it will now come with a dark mode so you can use it on the desktop with less brightness, as well as contrast and vibration. If you are using it in low light, the screen brightness will be minimized.
Users can easily create Facebook events, pages, groups and ads. You can preview a new group that is being planned and see what it looks like before opting for the real thing.
The redesigned Facebook allows you to find things faster with the new simplified navigation. The home page will now load faster and the transitions between pages are expected to be smoother.
The company had started to roll redesigned Facebook with dark mode for some desktop users in March.
Facebook added similar guides to its mobile version and revamped the shortcut bar. The Home, Watch and Market Place tabs were already seen at the top of the platform in March.
The option to switch to Dark Mode was seen in the drop-down menu in the upper left corner of the screen. The redesigned Facebook also has a guide dedicated to Facebook games.
Last year, Facebook introduced the dark mode feature in the Messenger app for all Android and iOS users.
