It’s one of the most popular social media platforms in the world and Facebook started to launch a huge desktop redesign.
The new design was announced in April and has a much more minimalist design than the previous version.
The top of the site has been changed from blue to white and includes light gray icons for the News Feed, Facebook Messenger, notifications, Watch, Marketplace and Groups.
The Facebook logo has also been changed, with the letter & # 39; F & # 39; now in a brighter and lighter blue circle.
And while Facebook Stories used to appear to the right of the page, they have now been moved to the middle and are represented by rectangles, not circles.
The new design started to be implemented for some users and the initial response was not great.
Several unimpressed users have adopted Twitter to discuss the update, with someone who considers it "disgusting".
One user tweeted: “New Facebook desktop layout = GROSS!”, While another wrote: “The new Facebook layout is so ugly that I am incredulous.”
And one exhaled: “What's up with Facebook changing the layout of profiles on desktop computers … every time I go to any profile, the sidebar appears and the whole page goes crazy, and it takes forever to hide the sidebar again. "
Meanwhile, another user made comparisons between the new Facebook design and the recent Twitter redesign.
One user tweeted: "The new facebook here trying to look exactly like the new twitter, but the jokes about them are horrible."
The new design will be released to all users in the coming weeks.
