After declining revenue generation amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Nigeria's Federal Airport Authority's FAAN reduced its May 2020 salary.
In a circular with the reference number FAAN / HQ / ADMIN / 2020/05 issued yesterday with the title: “Salary Payment Notice”, the FAAN administration informed all employees that they may not be able to pay the salary to employees as of May, 2020.
The percentage of the salary was not indicated in the circular that was also distributed on the Lagos headquarters notice board
According to the circular signed by the general manager, management, MD Yusuf and copied to the managing director / general manager, general managers, regional general, managers and others, management ensured that the salary balance will be paid when the situation improves.
“This is to notify all employees that, due to decreased revenue generation in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, management may not be able to pay the full salary to employees as of May 2020. However, once the If the revenue situation improves, the balance will be paid, ”said FAAN.
The agency noted that the measure taken is to ensure the organization's survival.
