Former England international Les Ferdinand said QPR midfielder Eberechi Eze will reinforce his offer to join Three Lions if he remains in good form at clubs, Completesports.com reports.
Ferdinand, football director for QPR, believes Eze, an England under-20 international, has the talent to compete for a place on Gareth Southgate's team.
Eze qualifies for Nigeria for not having participated in England's national team in a competitive game.
And Ferdinand admits that Eze may be playing in the Premier League to be called up for a senior squad and, with an impressive comeback of 12 goals and eight league assists this season, he is attracting Tottenham's interest.
"Many times you need to be in the Premier League to be recognized, but he showed the type of form and, if he continues to develop in the way he is developing and continues to show the type of football he is playing, he will certainly fit," the former QPR and Tottenham striker told Sky Sports News.
“People are going to start talking about him playing for England.
“He came and we have a few others at the club too. Bright Osayi-Samuel is doing great, as is Ryan Manning on the left. He's not English, but he's on the Irish team.
“We have a few young players coming into the system now that we are really excited about.
"They are helping us in our campaign this season to finish the championship as high as possible."
After English football was suspended until the end of April, as a result of the outbreak, Ferdinand urged people to follow government guidelines on social detachment to help limit the spread of the disease.
"We are all in limbo at the moment in terms of when the season will start again," he said.
