Eight Meeting Pissed off FG’s Efforts To Struggle Corruption, Says Sagay – Channels Tv

 

The Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee in opposition to Corruption (PACAC), Professor Itse Sagay, has stated the Eight Meeting pissed off President Muhammadu Buhari’s authorities within the struggle in opposition to corruption.

Sagay said this on Thursday after members of his committee met with President Buhari on the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

“I’m glad to say that the capability of corruption to struggle again has been lowered with the expiration of the lifetime of the Eight Meeting.

“That’s the place the principle opposition to this authorities was constituted. That was the centre, the principle opposition to the struggle in opposition to corruption,  and at the moment it didn’t depend upon which celebration they belonged to. All of them ganged up collectively in opposition to the struggle in opposition to corruption.

“They did all the pieces they may to frustrate the (federal) authorities and ourselves on this struggle in opposition to corruption,” he stated.

The Eight Meeting was headed by Senator Bukola Saraki and Honourable Yakubu Dogara, each of the opposition Peoples Democratic Occasion (PDP).

In accordance with him, recoveries as much as N1trillion was made domestically from looters whereas the struggle in opposition to corruption is on the right track.

Talking additional, Sagay counseled the President in his administration’s efforts to rid the nation of corruption, an act he believes is being recognised by the worldwide neighborhood.

He stated Nigeria was fortunate to have an individual of President Buhari’s credentials as chief of presidency.

“We congratulate you (Buhari) for being a star of the anti-corruption struggle in Africa. You attach a lot of importance to the fight against corruption, and we have tried to achieve the aims you had in mind when you established PACAC,” he said.
