Dudu-Orumen Salutes Edo State Sports Commission Staff On Workers Day

Godwin Dudu-Orumen, chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission (ESSC), congratulated Edo State Commission officials and athletes on the occasion of Workers' Day.

Dudu-Orumen, in a statement issued by Nnamdi Okosieme, his Special Adviser on Media and Communications, thanked the Commission officials for joining him in the work to achieve the Commission's objectives.


The ESSC chief said that support from Commission officials has been instrumental in the successes achieved so far, noting that the existing synergy between his leadership and officials must be maintained if the Edo State returns to its place of dominance in Nigerian sports.

“Your support was crucial to the gains achieved so far. Without it, we wouldn't have made it that far. In the future, I count on you to continue to do your best to help the Commission fulfill its mandate to transform the Edo State once again into the sports center of this country, ”said Dudu-Orumen.

He also commended the athletes and coaches of Edo State for their dedication, commitment and sacrifice to make Nigeria's number one sports center. He assured them that their sacrifice would not be in vain, noting that the Commission, aligned with the state government, will do everything possible to ensure that they have the best facilities and equipment to prepare for competitions.


“The Commission's leadership welcomes its commitment and sacrifice. Without them, today we would not be one of the main sports states in Nigeria. We guarantee our commitment to providing a safe and conducive atmosphere for you to stand out. Everything you need to stand out, to the extent that it is within the capacity of the Commission, will be made available to you, ”said Dudu-Orumen.

Dudu-Orumen asked them to stay in shape and see the current pause in activities caused by the coronavirus disease outbreak (COVID-19), as an opportunity to stay in shape and continue preparing for the National Sports Festival, which certainly takes place when this incident with COVID-19 ends.

“I implore everyone to be safe and observe the protocols related to containing the disease. We have to be alive before we can be sportsmen and administrators, ”he said.
