Dortmund Fighting To Overtake Bayern And Win Bundesliga Title

At just 24 years old, Julian Brandt is a German international with 190 games in the Bundesliga. The talented and creative midfielder is now in his first season at Signal Iduna Park, after his stint at Bayer Leverkusen last summer. Brandt nailed the return to games and was involved in Dortmund's four goals against FC Schalke 04 at Revierderby, including two direct assists.

We talked to Borussia Dortmund midfielder to ask three important questions about his career.

What is your favorite position on the field?

Brandt: In the end, I'm the last person to complain about it, because it's always because of the way you interpret the position. If you have someone like Thomas Delaney, who is strong on the defensive side, at your side, you can take certain liberties in terms of how far you can go. However, the center is my favorite.

What do you expect from the rest of the season?

As a club, with only nine games left and only a few points behind first place, we will have to try
and overcome them with all our strength. It is difficult to look at the league table and make assumptions, because there has been such a long pause and circumstances have changed completely. Normally, I would consider this as if we all started without points and had nine games to go.

What will be decisive to win the Bundesliga?

Yes. In the end, it depends on how strong we are mentally. We have already seen how much quality the team has. I don't know how you would handle this type of situation, that is the real question. Who is ready to take on everything? Those who are will be the ones who have the most points at the end. To win the league
so it would be unique.
