The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism (CATE) saluted the Nigerian Army for yet another show of bravery in displacing Boko Haram terrorists in Dapchi, Yobe State.
The Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole (OPLD) on Monday neutralized dozens of terrorists outside the city of Dapchi, leaving more than 32 dead and many more injured.
The Coordinator, Defense Media Operations, Major-General. John Enenche, who confirmed this in a statement on Tuesday, said the air strike also destroyed two trucks of terrorist weapons.
In reaction to its National Coordinator, Gabriel Onoja, CATE said that the feat reinforces the troops' commitment to ensuring that the remaining insurgents are exterminated by the return of peace and tranquility to the Northeast.
According to the group, this remarkable turnaround is due to the advances in leadership, patriotism and bravery of the chief of staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, who recently moved to the Theater of Operations.
CATE also praised Operation Lafiya Dole officers and soldiers, who aligned themselves with COAS philosophy and vision, exhibiting acts of bravery, even in the face of challenges.
However, the coalition urged troops on the front lines to keep pace, adding that the victory over Boko Haram / ISWAP terrorists is a vision.
While promising to continue supporting the troops, CATE urged all Nigerians to do the same.
The statement says “The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism wishes to use this means to compromise its unrestricted support for the operations of the Nigerian Army in northeastern Nigeria and requires troops to be vigilant and receptive like the Boko Haram terrorist group, whose ranks exhausted would try to pull surprises, as it did in the case of
The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism is delighted with the explorations of Battalion 212 troops in Sector 1 of Operation Laifya Dole of the Nigerian Army that successfully repelled the attack by Boko Haram terrorists, killed several insurgents and recovered weapons and ammunition in Gajigana, Nganzai Local Government Borno state area.
This achievement reinforces the commitment shown by Nigerian Army troops to ensure that the remnants of Boko Haram / ISWAP are exterminated by the return of peace and tranquility to northeast Nigeria.
The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism, as a critical participant in the war on terrorism, wishes to commend the Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, whose leadership he led has transformed the Nigerian Army into a vibrant and professional force in search of his own. mandate to protect and preserve Nigeria's territorial integrity.
The gallantry of Nigerian Army troops also manifested itself in the successful repulsion of terrorist Boko Haram's attempted attack on Dapchi, which killed more than 32 members of Boko Haram and several others wounded. This is not an easy task and indicates that the days of Boko Haram / ISWAP in northeastern Nigeria are really numbered.
The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism wishes to affirm that the Nigerian Army has really lived up to expectations by ensuring that the ranks of the terrorist group Boko Haram / ISWAP are decimated and rendered ineffective.
We welcome this act of bravery that is in the general interest of Nigeria and a great victory for the people of northeastern Nigeria, who suffered countless difficulties through the activities of Boko Haram that took place years ago.
We must admit that there has indeed been tangible progress in the war on terrorism in Nigeria, through the exploits of the Nigerian Army led by the tireless Chief of Staff of the Army. Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai.
Nigerians must, in fact, appreciate the efforts of our loyal and dedicated troops and, consequently, urged them to victory in this final phase of the war on terrorism in northeastern Nigeria and Nigeria in general.
The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism also looks at the various rescue operations by the Nigerian Army that resulted in the rescue of thousands of women and children held in captivity by the terrorist group Boko Haram / ISWAP and used as a human shield.
The fact that the various rescue operations registered little or no victims on the part of the captives (women and children) speaks volumes of a professional force that complies with the rules of combat in war.
Our special praise is also directed to the officers and soldiers of Operation Lafiya Dole, who continue to demonstrate acts of bravery, even in the face of the challenges at the service of our homeland.
We are convinced that, if this current pace is maintained, Nigeria will indeed have reason to celebrate the victory over the terrorist group Boko Haram / ISWAP in a short time.
The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism wishes to use this means to provide its unrestricted support for Nigerian Army operations in northeastern Nigeria and instructs troops to be vigilant and receptive, like the Boko Haram terrorist group, whose ranks have been exhausted, would try to pull surprises, as it did recently in the case of Dapchi.
We are grateful for this rare feat and encourage Nigerians from all walks of life to gather support for the Nigerian Army, while pushing for the final decimation of the terrorist group Boko Haram / ISWAP.
Nigerians must accept the fact that there was a time when more than 16 local government areas in northeastern Nigeria were under the control of the terrorist group Boko Haram / ISWAP and the consequent loss of life and destruction of property worth millions of dollars.
Today, the case is different, as there is no Nigerian territory under the control of the terrorist group Boko Haram / ISWAP. Instead, they were confined to hiding places on the shores of the Lake Chad Basin region.
The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism is also aware of the renewed commitment of the Multinational Joint Task Force that met the effective management of Nigeria's borders around the Lake Chad Basin region, thereby blocking all entry and escape routes to escape of the Boko Haram / ISWAP terrorist when they are under heavy bombardment by Nigerian troops.
We are convinced that what remains of the Boko Haram / ISWAP group are disgruntled fighters who are looking for an effort to save the face that would not lead to tangible results, as Nigerian troops effectively gained control of the war on terrorism in the northeast. from Nigeria.
The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism requires Nigerian troops to do their utmost to ensure that the remnants of the terrorist group Boko Haram / ISWAP are eliminated or captured for the return of peace to northeast Nigeria.
We also welcome President Muhammadu Buhari's leadership advances in providing this platform for our troops to continue making tremendous progress in the war on terrorism in Nigeria.
The end of Boko Haram / ISWAP is really coming.
