The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump declared that a vaccine for the dreaded COVID-19 disease, which has spread rapidly around the world, will be available by the end of 2020.
Trump revealed this on Sunday on Fox News, where he also said he would like to see schools and universities open in September this year.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says there is "enormous evidence" that the virus originated in a laboratory in China, in a comment that is likely to increase tensions with Beijing during the outbreak.
In a related development, random samples of goats, papayas and sheep were strangely positive for Covid-19 in Tanzania.
The president, John Magufuli, who put the Covid-19 test kits checked the authenticity of their results after fruits and animals were positive.
At an event in Chato, northwest Tanzania, Magufuli narrated that laboratory scientists tested positive non-human samples after he secretly instructed security forces to assign human names and ages.
