Nollywood actress Hilda Dokubo criticized the Federal Government of Nigeria's decision to ease the blockade in Lagos, Ogun and Abuja, despite a growing increase in COVID-19 cases in the country.
The actress who accessed her official Instagram page to speak out against President Muhammadu Buhari's decision, said the move was bad, adding that the presidency must have taken the decision to ease the blockade due to false reports of the current pandemic situation. of COVID-19 in the country.
Reacting even more, the actress who asked whoever was “lying” to the president to reveal the truth wondered why the government would like people to resume work and continue their daily lives when they didn't even smoke streets, main roads and other places to make it safe for people.
She wrote like that in detail on Instagram; “Who exactly is lying to the president? Who? The president announced the easing of the blockade with the force of a lie. Who's lying to the president?
“Because, with the force of a lie, he approved a facility and also approved an increase in the number of people to be tested daily to 2500. If they failed to perform 1, 500 a day, then how do they achieve 2, 500 a day?
“Nurses, doctors and all health professionals are working extremely hard, breaking into pieces just to save lives and some people are sitting in the comfort of an air-conditioned room, reaching an agreement that only strengthens their pockets.
“Why confuse the efforts of the people? Why? Sometimes, when I think about what the people on the committees create, I wonder what goes on in their veins. Blood or water? Because they react like people who don't feel the pain of others. You took the responsibility off yourself and hung it around the neck of the common masses, the very people you were supposed to protect.
“During the blockade, many poor people were on the streets. Because? Because your palliatives didn't reach them … They were out there, struggling to see how they can feed on the food you keep for them.
“So the palliatives didn’t reach them, no one has the power to conduct research, so the research isn’t happening and now you’re throwing people back on the streets, on the streets that you haven’t even smoked, you don’t & # 39; nor did it clean, but you told us that this virus is in the air and can remain in the air for 8 hours.
"I don't understand. Do you think everyone is stupid?
“Take, for example, the state of Lagos. Without traffic during the block, they were unable to track people who had contact with people who tested positive for the virus. So, imagine now, with traffic, how they will track someone and if someone needs help, how will the NCDC reach the person?
“We want to end up like Ghana, which lifted its block prematurely and ended all the casualties they have. Can we deal with this victim?
Someone is lying to the president and that person needs to stop ”, he concluded.
Hilda's comments come days after R&B musician Timi Dakolo also criticized President Buhari's decision to approve the gradual relaxation of the Confinement of covid-19 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Lagos and Ogun, with effect from 4 May 2020.
The popular Nigerian act that accessed its official Twitter page to react to President Buhari's decision said that easing the blockade, despite the growing number of COVID-19 cases, was not a good idea.
According to Timi Dakolo, efforts and the objective of reducing the federal government's blockade order may be compromised due to non-adherence to the government's directive on social distance.
