Forensic experts are choosing COVID-19 victims of the streets for burial in the Ecuadorian capital.
The 65-year-old body was seen on Tuesday and placed in a coffin for burial.
Specialists they say the country has yet to see its worst days, despite recording almost 1,600 deaths and 31,000 secret cases 19.
Residents of indigenous communities are said to have fled to the rainforests of the Amazon for fear of being wiped out by the virus.
The country is the third most affected country in Latin America after Brazil, with 7,921 deaths and 114,715 confirmed cases, and Mexico with 2,271 fatalities and 26,025 cases.
