Collins Helps Paderborn To Away Draw; Dortmund Thrash Schalke In Derby

Super Eagles left back Jamilu Collins was in action for Paderborn, who drew 0-0 with Fortuna Dusseldorf, while the German Bundesliga returned on Saturday after being suspended in March due to the coronavirus outbreak, reports.

Prior to the suspension of the league and Saturday's game, Paderborn had lost the last four games.


The game was Collins' 22nd Bundesliga game for Paderborn, who remains at the bottom of the league with 18 teams.

In the Revier derby, Borussia Dortmund defeated rival Schalke 4-0 at Signa Idunna Park.


January goals, signing Erling Braut Haaland (29 minutes), Thorgan Hazard (49 minutes) and a key from Raphael Guerreiro (45 minutes, 63 minutes) ensured the emphatic victory at Dortmund.

The victory took Dortmund to 54 points, just one point behind leaders Bayern Munich.


At the PreZero Arena, Hertha Berlin won a 3-0 away win against Hoffenheim.

Hertha climbed 1-0 on 58 minutes with a goal against German-born Nigerian defender Kevin Akpoguma.

In the 60th minute, Vedad Ibisevic doubled Hertha's lead before Matheus Cunha made it 3-0 in the 74th minute.

In other games, former Everton striker Ademola Lookman was saved on 46 minutes when RB Leipzig played 1-1 at home to Freiburg, while Augsburg lost 2-1 at home to Wolfsburg.


On Sunday, the new Super Eagles' guest, Kingsley Ehizibue, will host Taiwo Awoniyi's Mainz, and champion Bayern Munich will visit Union Berlin, which will parade Anthony Ujah.


And on Monday, Bayer Leverkusen will be invited to Werder Bremen.
