At least 20 people were killed in eastern Burkina Faso when gunmen invaded a livestock market, reports say.
Armed men on motorcycles fired at the crowded market in the city of Kompienga in the middle of Saturday, eyewitnesses said, according to local media.
It is not clear who was behind the attack.
Burkina Faso has seen a sharp increase in jihadist violence and clashes between communities in recent months.

Violence has forced hundreds of thousands of people to flee their homes.
On Friday, at least 15 people were killed when suspected Islamic militants attacked a convoy of merchants in the north, near the Mali border.
The government attributed the attack to "terrorists", a phrase commonly used by jihadists linked to al-Qaeda and the Islamic State Burkina Faso, which has been fighting in recent years.
Despite government claims of success against Islamic militants, insecurity in northern and eastern Burkina Faso has increased dramatically.
Jihadists often target schools, forcing some 300,000 children out of education.
