Brentford have confirmed that they’re investigating a criticism surrounding the alleged conduct of defender Julian Jeanvier in the course of the 1-Zero defeat towards West Brom on Saturday.
The Brentford centre-back was the topic of a criticism made by followers of West Bromwich Albion following Saturday’s conflict at Griffin Park.
It has been alleged that Jeanvier reacted to verbal abuse from the away followers in direction of the tip of the sport after momentum took him off the pitch and in shut proximity to the travelling assist within the Brook Street stand.
The Categorical and Star have reported that the criticism alleges that Jeanvier reacted to verbal abuse by spitting on the followers.
A spokesperson for Brentford has confirmed the membership are conscious of the criticism and are investigating.
