BREAKING: Highest single day rise in Nigeria as 381 new cases of COVID-19 push total to 3526; deaths now 107

The Nigeria Disease Control Center (NCDC) on Thursday night confirmed 381 new cases of COVID-19 in the country.

Newly infected people have increased the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country to 3,526.


The death toll also increased from 103 to 107 in 24 hours.

The center said on its Twitter that 601 patients were effectively managed and released from the country's isolation facilities.

The breakdown of the new number of infections by state showed the following: Lagos (183), Kano (55), Jigawa (44), Zamfara (19), Bauchi (19), Katsina (11), Borno (9), Kwara ( 8) and Kaduna (7).

Others are – Gombe (6), Ogun (5), Sokoto (4), Oyo (3), Rivers (3), Niger (2), Akwa Ibom (1), Enugu (1) and Plateau (1).


O NCDC said: “3,526 # COVID19 cases in Nigeria.

"Discharge: 601 And deaths: 107".
