BREAKING: 220 fresh COVID-19 cases push Nigeria’s total to 2388; death toll climbs to 85

The Nigeria Disease Control Center (NCDC) on Saturday night confirmed 220 cases of COVID-19 in the country.

The latter figure further increased the number of cases of COVD-19 in Nigeria to 2.388.

The death toll also rose from 68 to 85 in 24 hours.

In addition, 385 patients were discharged from hospitals and isolation facilities across the country.

In the daily update of COVID-19 posted on its Twitter identifier, the NCDC also released figures on COVID-19 infections in the affected states.

The breakdown of the 220 cases recorded on Saturday shows the following: Lagos (62), FCT (52), Kaduna (31), Sokoto (13), Kebbi (10), Yobe (9), Borno (6), Edo (5 ), Bauchi (5), Gombe (4), Enugu (4) and Oyo (4).

Others are – Zamfara (3), Nasarawa (2), Osun (2), Ebonyi (2), Kwara (2), Kano (2) and Plateau (2).

The center said: “2388 confirmed cases of # COVID19 in Nigeria.

"Discharge: 385 And deaths: 85".
