The newly posted Commissioner of Police Bauchi State, Phillip Maku, has resumed duties.
His assumption of duty followed the redeployment of the former Commissioner of Police, CP Habu A. Sani, who is now in charge of Kano State Police Command.
Maku resumption was made known in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Police Public Relations Officer (P.P.R.O) of the Command, DSP. Kamal Datti.
The statement reads; ” The Bauchi State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that, a new Commissioner of Police in person of CP Phillip S. Maku, psc, fdc, has been posted to the State and has assumed duty on Monday 18/11/2019 taken over from CP Habu A. Sani, psc who was redeployed to Commissioner of Police in charge of Kano State Police Command.

“A seasoned police officer with vast experience in policing both within and outside Nigeria, the new CP hails from Nasarawa Eggon, LGA Nasarawa State”
It reads further: ”He holds bachelor degree in Business Administration from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.”
“He joined the Nigeria Police Force as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1988.
“His last posting was Commissioner of Police in charge of Department of Logistics and Supply at Force Headquarters Abuja.”
The new CP is also said to be a seasoned Police Officer with vast experience in policing both within and outside the country.
