In his opinion, Paul Bassey, representative of the State Sport Commissioner of Akwa Ibom, recommended the creation of a health committee to work with the NCCD and the Ministry of Health to determine the possibility of holding the Festival.

While some members said the Festival should be held before the elections in Edo State, others said it should be held after the elections.


In the meantime, an 11 Man committee has been created to inspect all health facilities at the games. The Committee is composed of members of the Covid-19 Task Force, NCDC, Sports Commissioners from the 6 geopolitical zones of the country and representatives of the Ministry of Sport.
